Miss Daphne Moppet
This is Daphne. She’s one of my unique heirloom dolls.
At just 31 cm in length she’s very petite. Her hands and lower arms and legs are made from polymer clay which lends them weight and makes her gorgeous to hold and cuddle - just like a vintage cloth doll.
Like all the other dolls in the heirloom range, Daphne is unique, with every stitch and embellishment handmade by me with care and attention to detail. These dolls are whimsical and one-of-a-kind which means that your young person will have a special friend that is theirs and theirs only.
Just like an old-fashioned vintage cloth doll, she’s handcrafted from seeded calico and her hair is made from wool roving. The details on her face are embroidered and hand-coloured. Her dress is made from a printed cotton poplin, and is worn over a pretty petticoat and delicate knit bloomers. I’ve hand-smocked the detail on the bodice with a matching embroidery floss. She has warm knit socks, and finely detailed leather boots to keep her tootsies warm.
Dolls in the heirloom range can be played with but because they require extra attention and care, they are more suitable for older children. Also, please note that her clothing has been constructed with small fasteners and parts which means that she is not be suitable for infants, toddlers or young children.
