Lady Portia
This is Portia. She’s a beautiful limited edition handmade doll from the new Debutantes Collection.
The social season is about to begin, and Portia is filled with excitement as she prepares to attend the highly anticipated debutante ball. She adores the wonderful opportunity to dress up in a beautiful gown and dance the night away in the company of her friends and family. Among all the enchanting dances, the polonaise is her absolute favourite dance of them all! And who knows, maybe she’ll meet a new beau!
Portia has been made with seeded calico fabric. Her face is hand painted and her hair has been styled using a soft wool. Her Regency dress is adorned with a satin ribbon and ruched bow. Hidden under her voile petticoat are a pair of dainty tie-up boots. And her very dear papa has presented her with a silver beaded tiara to complete the ensemble for the ball. Lucky girl!
Each of The Debutantes stands about 32 cm tall and would make the perfect gift for a grown-up child all the way through to those who are just young at heart. Please note that her clothing and accessories have been constructed with small parts and would definitely not be suitable for infants, toddlers or younger children. The tiara has been secured with ribbons around her bun and should be removed if this presents a safety concern.
